This year, HBFF screened 119 films over the course of their 6 day celebration of black film. This was Revolution’s third award, and a great way to end its spree of seven festivals over the past ten weeks.

Oakland Post Interview w/ Trevor Parham

June 10th, 2008 by Trevor

Oakland Post News Group

Trevor Parham, Writer/Producer of Revolution, was interviewed last week by the Oakland Post News Group for a story on film diversity and the San Francisco Black Film Festival. Trevor discusses the inspiration for the film, and the organic process of assembling a production team of close friends to create Revolution…

All of our cast, crew, and extras were just friends of ours. We sent out a mass text message a day or two before the shoot and had about 60 people show up for an all-day Sunday shoot. Some of the people I hadn’t even invited, because I hadn’t seen them in years… they just showed up because they heard it was the place to be.

DVD Screeners Available

December 29th, 2007 by Trevor

DVD Screeners

I spent the last couple days duplicating some giveaway DVD screeners of the video. We’ll probably have some professionally duplicated within the next few weeks, but these should get us by for now. It looks like much more than a DVD-R when you print labels on inkjet printable discs.

For anyone who’s curious, I have an EPSON Stylus Photo R220 that prints directly onto CDs/DVDs. I’ve bought two of these now over the past couple of years and they’ve both been worth every penny. Check out EPSON’s current model here.
